Versatile cable compatibility The JC 72 supports a wide range of conductor types and sizes, including copper and aluminum conductors from 185 mm² to 1200 mm², and is compatible with RM, RE, and class 5 conductors. It accommodates insulation diameters from 39 mm to 78 mm, making it suitable for various cable designs.
Advanced stress control Utilizing a field control method based on geometrically pre-molded silicone rubber, the JC 72 ensures optimal electrical field distribution, reducing stress concentrations and enhancing long-term performance.
Robust electrical performance Tested in accordance with IEC 60840 standards, the JC 72 delivers outstanding electrical reliability:
- AC withstand voltage: 90 kV (30 minutes)
- Impulse withstand voltage: 325 kV
- Partial discharge: < 5 pC at 54 kV
- Rated voltage: 60–69 kV
- Highest voltage: 72.5 kV
- Design voltage to ground: 36 kV
Exceptional short-circuit resistance Designed to handle high fault currents, the JC 72 withstands:
- Thermal short-circuit current (1s): 33.8 kA at 185 mm² Cu
- Dynamic short-circuit current: 107 kA at 185 mm² Cu
